Extended Program overview

The Budokon Academy Extended
Program (EP) is open to anyone who is interested in a full
education within the Budokon yogic/martial/living arts system.
The EP is open to all belt levels and welcomes beginners as
well as experienced yogis, professional martial artists, and
anyone in between. In the EP, students will start at the white
belt level and work toward their black belt by attending weekly
classes at a Budokon Academy certified training location.
Each belt level (with the exception of Black) requires a minimum
of 200 hours and takes a minimum of 6 months to complete.
The EP at the Standard Hotel and Spa will be conducted mainly
by Sensei Donato Helbling and supervised and lead periodically
by Kancho Cameron Shayne, the creator of Budokon. |
Who should join the EP?
- Anyone of any fitness level who is interested
in learning yogic and martial arts for self-mastery, concentration
and self-defense in a non-competitive environment.
- Anyone with a passion for movement
and desire for personal growth and lifestyle transformation.
- Experienced yogis, martial artists,
or anyone with a background in dance, gymnastics or other movement
art, who is interested in being re-inspired.
- Anyone with access to a local Budokon
Academy training center in their city. If an EP is not offered
in your city, please consider the AP
- Serious students willing to commit to
a consistent weekly training schedule (must be able to attend
class twice a week plus an additional Budokon Mind Science session
once a month).
- Students may be interested in a future
career as a Budokon Teacher.
NOTE: The EP is not a Teaching Certification
program, but rather a stepping stone towards certification. To
receive a Professional Teacher Certification the student is required
to attend a separate Professional Teacher Training Conditioning
Course after achieving a red belt or higher rank. Visit the Teacher
Training section of our website for more information.
